Pusher Type Furnaces

Pusher Type furnaces can be designed with a solid hearth, a flue gas recirculation system, or top and bottom heating.

This type of system is recommended when the materials to be heated are billets, blooms, and slabs of low- to medium-carbon steel, for top heating only or top and bottom heating depending on the thickness of the billet.

It is typically used where the plant layout has space constraints and when the investment budget is limited.
